April Festivities in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs always seems to have a myriad of festivities and events going on each month, April's theme is Easter. Of course, Easter Egg Hunts are the main event, there are other Easter-themed activities as well.

What events will you choose to participate in?

Easter In the Park!

Easter In the Park! at Deerfield Park is scheduled for April 2nd, 2022, from 10 am - 1 pm. This event is sure to be fun for the entire family.

The kids can get their faces painted or enjoy jumping around in the bounce house. Among the standard Easter Egg Hunt, there will be egg races and sack races.

Enjoy decorating Easter eggs, enjoying some tasty treats and some hot cocoa.

If you are planning on heading to this event, you will want to reserve a time slot to make sure you get a photo op with the Easter Bunny.

PPCM Big Spring Soiree

This is the first annual PPCM Big Spring Soiree presented by the Children's Hospital Colorado along with community partners El Pomar Youth Sports Complex, One Body Ent, and Solid Rock CDC.

PPCM Big SpEring Soiree will take place at the El Pomar Youth Sports Park on Saturday, April 2nd from 9 am to 12 pm.

Activities will include an Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Egg decorating, games, and more. There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Soiree will have multiple vendors, food trucks, and Easter baskets available for sale.

El Paso County 4-H Easter Egg Hunt

El Paso County 4-H will be having their Easter Egg Hunt on April 9th at Kit Carson Riding Club from 10 am to 1 pm. All proceeds will go toward the youth in the horse project.

Activities will include an Easter Egg hunt, cute animals, prizes, and concessions. There is a small cost of $5 per course to participate in the egg hunt.

An excellent time to spend with friends, families, and animals.

Easter Eggstravaganza

The Easter Eggstravaganza is held at the Colorado Springs Flea Market from 6 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 16th. A day of family fun, candy, and activities.

Of course, there is plenty of shopping and discoveries that can be found while shopping at the flea market.

Surprise Easter Bunny Basket Cookie Decorating

Sweet Addict Bakery will be holding a Surprise Easter Bunny Basket Cookie Decorating class on April 16th from 1 pm to 3 pm. Each participant will receive step-by-step instruction to create the sweetest bunny-filled baskets.

The bakery invites basic and intermediate level decorators to participate. Each participant will decorate 6 cookie baskets - filled with M&Ms.

If you are interested in creating these bunny-filled baskets, make sure you call to reserve your spot soon.

2022 He Has Risen Race

The He Has Risen Race is happening around the world, anyone can participate, at their own pace. This event begins at 7 pm on April 16th and will end on April 30th. Early registration is $16 instead of the regular $18.

Participants can choose the length of their race from 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, or 26.2 for any level racer.

Bible race events will have 15% of the proceeds donated to Operation Underground Railroad. What is Operation Underground Railroad?
