Ullr Grass - Golden, CO

Ullr Grass is a Viking-themed 3-day festival with the sole purpose of getting the community together, named one of the top 10 festivals in Colorado. The festival's itinerary is packed full with a variety of live music throughout the day into the evening while sampling craft brews and ciders from over 30 breweries across Colorado. The music lineup is diverse featuring bluegrass, funk, newgrass, and more. On Sunday, the festival is catered to families for a Family Day. Family Day features dance performances, UllrEgg Hunt, Costume Parade, craft activities, and games. Food trucks are readily available all weekend long providing a variety of food options for any taste.

Ouray Ice Fest - Ouray, CO Climbing

People gather from around the world to attend the 3-day Ouray Ice Festival, celebrating the growing sport of ice climbing. The town of Ouray turns into an ice-climbing mecca offering plenty of clinics, competitions, vendor exhibits, evening celebrations, and more. The January event is their biggest fundraising event of the year with wo% of the proceeds going directly to the operational costs of the Ouray Ice Park to continue building a world-class ice climbing park every year.

Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships

Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships is an event you don't want to miss. Whether you are an artist or appreciate the arts, this event brings out some of the most amazingly creative, artistic teams. Teams work together over 5 days (65 hours) creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces using only hand tools. After carving week is over, the viewings begin. Guests are invited to come to preview each amazing sculpture and vote for their top pick. The team with the most votes has the honor of the title Snow Sculpture Champions. Visitors also have the opportunity to leave more about snow sculpting and information about the teams competing.

Estes Park Winter Festival

Estes Park Winter Festival consists of winter-themed events and entertainment the entire family will enjoy, usually held around Martin Luther King Day. There are plenty of activities for all ages, such as a chili cook-off, ice-skating in historic downtown, live music, and skiing and snowboarding competitions.

First Day Hike Hiking

The State Parks in Colorado offers a free first-day hike to promote going outside and getting healthy. Approximately 25 state parks offer an organized hike for visitors. The level of the hike is up to you, they offer various distances and levels of difficulty so that anyone is comfortable participating.
