Cedar Heights is served by both the Manitou Springs Public School District 14 and the Colorado Springs School District 11 The Manitou Springs School District is an above average district and is pretty small in size. According to Greatschools.org, Manitou Springs High School was given a 7/10 rating, Manitou Springs Elementary School was rated 5/10 and both Ute Pass Elementary School and Manitou Springs Middle School were both rated 4/10. While some of these ratings are the best,, they are good for such a small school district. A definite bonus to such a small school district is the smaller classroom sizes with the average student to teacher ratio being 15 to 1.
The Colorado Springs School District 11 is one of the oldest and most diverse school districts in El Paso County. It's a rather large school district with over 60 schools including alternative, online and charter school options. Some of the schools that serve the Cedar Heights neighborhood are Chipeta Elementarty School that was given a 9/10 rating, Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning, Bristol Elementary School and Steele Elementary School were all given 8/10 ratings, Howbert Elementary School and Jackson Elementary School were rated 6/10 and Trailblazer Elementary School was rated 4/10. Being a larger district there are going to be more options available and there will tend to be more schools with higher ratings but, equally there will be lower ratings as well.
