Weather and Recreation in Peyton


weather is Peyton is typically mild, very low humidity and an average of 300 days of sunshine per year.  The weather is perfect to enjoy the Calhan Painted Mines, located minutes east of Peyton, The Homestead Ranch Regional Park with walking trails and playground for the kids, the Double M Farm to pick up fresh produce and fruit, or the Antler Creek Golf Course right off Hwy 24 and Stapleton.

If you would rather head west into Colorado Springs, there is an endless list of things to do from shopping at the many indoor and outdoor malls, dining at your favorite restaurant, taking a drive up Pikes Peak, touring the Olympic Training Center or hiking at any number of mountain trails. A further drive north of Colorado Springs will take you to Denver and the world-renowned ski resorts or beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.
